A revolutionary invention by Reiner Foerst
From racing simulators to global driving simulator supplier
Reiner Foerst filed a patent application for his overall concept for the world's first commercial driving simulator on May 13, 1975, in Germany as well as in the USA and Japan. His car driving simulators were initially used as coin-operated racing simulators for entertainment purposes, whereby he acquired a license with Nürburgring GmbH to use the name "Nürburgring".

Reiner Foerst's groundbreaking invention
The prototype attracted a great deal of attention and even fascinated celebrities such as film actor Bud Spencer, anchorman Thomas Gottschalk, singer Reinhard Mey, sometime Bavarian Minister President Franz Josef Strauß, talk show host Hans Joachim Kulenkampff and Formula 1 world champion Jackie Stewart.
In 2003, Kai Foerst, Reiner Foerst's son, took over the company and began to respond to the increasing demand from driving instructors. He improved the graphics and functionalities of the simulators, prepared them for sale to driving schools and developed educational software.
